Last updated July 2026. This is a fan-made site with no company or legal entity behind it — this policy describes what actually happens with your data in plain terms, not corporate boilerplate.
Account info: your email address and password (stored as an irreversible hash, never in plain text), a display name you choose, and your Roblox username (verified to exist, not owned via login). Your Roblox username is kept private and only ever revealed to the other side of a trade once an offer is accepted, or to a builder once a commission is accepted.
Content you create: listings, photos you upload, offers, trade chat messages, build registry entries, guide submissions, commission requests, and Data Team applications (including whatever you write about your trading history/reputation). Photos are stored via Supabase Storage.
Usage data: we use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand traffic and how people use the site — pages viewed, general location (country/region level), device type, and referral source. This uses cookies. We don't sell this data or use it for advertising.
To run the site: matching trades, showing your listings and offers to other players, letting builders and requesters communicate, and verifying who registered a build first. Analytics data helps us understand what's working and fix what isn't — nothing more.
Your display name, avatar, listings, and public trade stats (completed trades, active listings, registered builds) are visible to anyone on the site. Your real Roblox username and email are never shown publicly — only revealed to a trade counterparty after an offer is accepted, as described above.
We use third-party services to run the site: Supabase (database and file storage), Netlify (hosting), and Google Analytics (usage data, as described above). We don't share your data with anyone else, and we've never sold data to anyone.
Adopt Me's community includes a lot of younger players, and trade chat connects you with people you don't know. It's preset-message-only by design — there's no free text field — specifically so there's nothing to say beyond coordinating a trade. Don't share personal information (real name, address, phone number, other social accounts) with a trade partner, here or in-game. If someone asks you to, or anything about an interaction feels off, use the "Report this listing" link and stop responding.
You can delete individual listings, offers, and registry entries yourself from your Profile. If you want your account fully deleted, reach out through Discord or wherever you found this site — there's no self-service account deletion yet, so this is currently a manual request.
Most browsers let you block or clear cookies, which will stop Google Analytics from tracking your visits (it won't break anything else on the site).
